ORALABX’s standard commercial MOQ is 10,000 units per SKU for mouthwash, toothpaste and breath spray. Final quantity is confirmed after the formula, packaging specification and component minimums are approved.

This policy applies to saleable commercial production. Laboratory prototypes, stability samples and testing units are pre-production evaluation materials; they are not a substitute for a commercial production run.

Why Oral-Care Manufacturing Has a Real MOQ

1. Formula batching and line setup

Mixing, cleaning, filling-line preparation and in-process checks require the same controlled setup whether a batch is small or commercially efficient. Very small runs spread these fixed operations across too few units and create avoidable variability.

2. Packaging component minimums

Bottles, tubes, pumps, caps, labels, cartons and printed films each have supplier minimums. A finished-product MOQ cannot be confirmed from liquid volume alone. The approved component specification must be checked against supplier minimums before production planning.

3. Quality and traceability

Commercial production requires batch identification, retained samples, in-process inspection and manufacturing-side records. These controls are part of the production system, not optional extras that disappear on a smaller order.

Samples answer technical questions: Does the flavor work? Is the appearance acceptable? Does the formula remain compatible with the selected packaging? Commercial production answers a different question: Can the approved product be manufactured repeatedly with controlled components, QC and batch traceability?

Use one clear launch SKU

Adding flavors, sizes or packaging variants divides purchasing power and creates separate component minimums. A focused first SKU usually gives the brand better control of inventory, artwork, testing and launch execution.

Choose packaging before final quotation

Standard components can reduce tooling exposure and shorten approval work, but availability and decoration minimums still need confirmation. Custom bottles, pumps or tube structures may create additional minimums, tooling costs or longer lead times.

Separate formula approval from artwork approval

Formula, packaging and labeling decisions should move through controlled checkpoints. Starting printed components before the formula and claims direction are confirmed can turn a late wording change into obsolete inventory.

Plan by sell-through, not by optimistic forecasts

The brand should model monthly sales, channel allocation, shelf life and reorder timing before production. Inventory risk is reduced through better SKU discipline and channel planning, not through an unrealistic production quantity.

Component suppliers may require quantities that differ from the finished-product order. Any excess component inventory, custom tooling or special decoration is confirmed separately before the order is placed.

Commercial Terms and Responsibility

Standard payment is 30% deposit with the balance paid before shipment. Formula scope, packaging, testing, documentation and lead time are confirmed in the quotation or project specification before production.

ORALABX is responsible for the approved manufacturing scope, QC and manufacturing-side records. The brand, importer or appointed regulatory party remains responsible for local registration, market authorization, claims approval and final destination-market compliance. Artwork, market-specific labeling, testing scope and shipping documentation are coordinated between both sides.
